New Maths books are launched by CBSE for critical thinking for class 7 to 10

Named, “Mathematical literacy: Practice Book for Students”, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a Mathematics Practice book aimed at promoting analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities in students. “Designed for students of class 7 to class 10, this workbook will help students to learn and solve problems with ease, requiring minimum support from teachers and parents”, as stated the board.

The book was prepared under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and is aimed at providing students with mathematical temperament and instilling a critical thinking attitude to solve mathematical problems while they remain at home due to the coronavirus pandemic until the usual school routine resumes. As per the Unlock 5 guidelines of the Ministry of Health, schools are to remain closed till October 15 and from thereon states can decide whether to reopen schools or not.

The workbook is available on the CBSE website and DIKSHA platform. As per the Ministry of Education statement, this workbook is a fun-filled detour in the world of mathematics, and learners would surely enjoy it.
