Moral Values A Necessary Part of Curriculum

"Education without moral values, as useful as it is, seems rather make a man  more clever devil" - C.S.Lewis

When most people think about a school curriculum, they think about Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Language courses. Seldom do we hear or read about moral values being part of educational curricula in the modern world.

This creates a unique problem. Ignoring the importance of teaching moral values along with academic concepts in schools, is hurting our students and causing problems in society. Inculcating moral values in our children, as they develop, will help them discern the difference between right and wrong. If they develop poor ethics and no moral values, they can harm society.

The goal of incorporating moral values in education is to ensure that, upon graduation, students not only have the knowledge and skills needed to work and succeed, but also the compassion and emotional wherewithal to be a part of a safe, peaceful, and cooperative society.

Mount Olympus School believes in inculcating these moral values to all age groups and creating a strong foundation.
