The Directorate of Education (DoE) said that private schools adopt the basis of admission that should be fair, non-discriminatory, and equitable.

The process of Nursery admission began on February 18 in over 1700 schools in Delhi. And a senior DoE official said that the first list of nursery admissions is out on March 20. And the second list will be out on March 25, with one more list of nursery admission, if any, on March 27.

The DoE has also directed that due to the Covid-19 situation, the schools are closed. And the physical classroom learning for nursery students is not going on. Therefore, the school will charge no extra fee except registration, admission, caution at the time of nursery admission, and, after that, the school will take the tuition fee from the students till further orders.

Usually, the Nursery admissions begin in November. The DoE releases the guidelines. And the application process is rolled out in December in schools. But this time, the process got delayed due to Covid-19.

As per norms, all the schools have to reserve 25 percent seats for EWS or DG category, and the children with disabilities.
A monitoring committee is there in each district under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director. And the director will ensure that each school uploads the criteria and points on the online module.
