According to the sources, the majority of the states are not in favour of reopening the schools and so, no timeline has been fixed as of now by the Ministry of Education for the same.
It mentioned, “Possibility of higher secondary classes in late September is being explored but there has been no final decision.” The source further mentioned, “Whenever it is decided, the Centre will only issue an advisory in this regard and states will have to take a call depending on the COVID-19 situation in their districts.”

The Education Ministry had asked the states and UTs for feedback as to when they are comfortable in reopening the schools.
