Kids are more vulnerable to being traumatized by various events such as coronavirus pandemic, violent crime or any other disasters. In order to cope with the traumatic event, kids need parental support.

Tips for helping your child to cope up with the drama.
• Make sure you give your child extra care, hugs, cuddling. This will give him a feeling of security which is important in aftermath of the disturbing event.
• Maintain normal routine as much as possible. It will reassure your child that life will be OK again.
• Act calm in front of your child. Do not discuss your anxiety with your child.
• Encourage your child to play with others. This will keep him distracted.
• Have a natural open discussion with your child.
• Listen to your child. This will help you understand his problems.
• Encourage your child to do a breathing exercise. It will reduce his anxiety.
