Has the school admission started in Delhi for the year 2021?

There has been no notification by the DOE (Directorate of Education) regarding the beginning date for 2021-22 Delhi school Admissions.  It is possible that admission in private schools won't happen this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Usually, the process to admit kids in schools in around 1,700 schools in Delhi beings in November.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) releases guidelines and schedules for admission in private schools around now. However, this year the schools haven't been asked to furnish details or been enlightened of the method initiating.

The school shall soon receive the details about the procedure for admission in nursery, preschool, and class I for general category students.

Only the schools with an international board (IB & IGCSE) and schools in NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kundli, Faridabad, Sonepat) have started the process. All the CBSE schools in Delhi make up the DOE’s radar and can begin & finish the admission process at the same time (When they get the DOE’s nod). Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad have already completed their admission process for the year 2021-22 thus, likely, Delhi shall begin soon.
