Government Plans to set up New Sainik Schools in Partnership with NGOs and Private Schools

New Delhi: The government on Wednesday said, that it is planning to set up new Sainik schools across the county in partnership with state governments, NGOs, and private schools. 


It is seen that at present 33 Sainik schools are there in the county. And Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik also said in Lok Sabha that from the academic session 2021-22, girls cadets will get admission in all Sainik schools.

 
He said that the new Sainik Schools aim to provide a “CBSE plus” type of educational environment. And this would be done through the partnership of desirous government/ NGOs/Private schools with the alignment of Sainik school ethos and value system. 
He further added that the schools are proposed to be affiliated with the Sainik Schools Society. And the society is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence.


The aim of establishing Sainik schools is to prepare the students to enter in Indian armed forces at an early stage. And the schools are getting established on specific requests from the State governments.
