Saksham Bansal of Grade X of GEMS Modern Academy, Gurugram received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 by the Ministry of Jal Shakti for his innovation, which was a time-based automatic tap. He actively participated in the school’s Global Citizenship Programme and represents the core values of Care, Excellence, Learning and Team Spirit that GEMS fosters amongst the students.
He is an aware and concerned young citizen. He designed a tap that could save water, especially during the Covid situation. He took the initiative for the installation of devices that would help the school to save water. He also runs his own YouTube channel where he highlights such social issues. His passion for saving the environment is truly appreciable.
