KEDx 2021 is an attempt to create future thought leaders by giving students a platform to voice their thoughts and develop their creativity of expression. Moreover, it provides the necessary catalytic push for future learners to present their thoughts with clarity and be comfortable before their peers and teachers.
Hence, in the spirit of free-flowing expression, the KEDx 2021 provided students of Early Years of GEMS International School, a platform to discuss, listen and enunciate their thoughts, emotions, and ideas. They observed their students develop their public speaking skills and speak on the most relevant topics of the day. They focused on their rhythm and body language to gain confidence. Even though physically distanced, the students were able to put across their points in 3-4 minutes. They were passionate about their topics and happy to get the time to express themselves freely.
During this event, students voiced their thoughts on topics as diverse as sustainable development and organizing their birthdays!
Students showed their potential as future leaders by voicing their concerns on a sustainable way of living that respects our planet and the creatures that we share this planet with. They were very clear about saving the environment for future generations and ensure equity and good living standards for humanity.
Children also took this chance to express their love for the grandparents and celebrate the greatest gift of all – our families.
Another topic that was near and dear to their hearts was planning and organization. This topic is crucial as future leaders would be required to be careful planners and team players.
KEDx set up the platform for the future and will surely end up being the first baby steps for tomorrow’s leaders.
