On the 29th of July, the new education policy and the renaming of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development to Education Ministry was approved by the Union Cabinet.
President of India, Ram Nath Kovind gave a nod for changing the name.
Published on Monday, a gazette notification said the same. So, from now the MHRD will be known as the Ministry of Education.
