An order from the Delhi School Education Department released today says that all Delhi schools will be closed due to pollution till further notice. This includes all government, government-aided, unaided recognized, NDMC, MCDs and Delhi Cantonment Board schools.

Schools will reopen subject to orders of the Commission for Air Quality Management in the national capital region and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, online classes and board exams will continue as per the guidelines issued earlier.

In an emergency meeting on November 13, it was decided that Delhi schools will remain closed for a week from Monday onwards due to pollution. This was one of four major decisions taken in the meeting to tackle the pollution crisis.

The other major decisions include a ban on construction activity between November 14 to 17 and a closure of Delhi offices for a week as well.

Now it has been decided that the school closure will be extended till further notice.
