For New Delhi schools, the final rules for the nursery admissions on whether they are going to be conducted or not for the academic term of 2021-22 will be set by the AAP government soon. The government has assured the Delhi high court that in 2-3 weeks, a call is going to be made on the matter.

A petition was made before the announcement in favour of postponing admissions due to the pandemic. The court had urged the Delhi Government to consider the petition's request before arriving at a decision.
The government was also asked to delay opening schools for physical classes as it would be harmful to children's' health and welfare during the times if the pandemic. Despite the absence of directives from the government, many private schools have already started issuing admission forms.
