Christmas at Summer Fields School

Christmas was no exception. Celebrated on the 25th of December, the festival is celebrated with enthusiasm, especially by younger students. The festivities looked different this year due to the covid pandemic, wherein the school celebrated Christmas virtually through a series of fun activities, letting the students discover their creative sides.

For students from Nursery to KG, the school organized a Christmas tree decoration event, a golden opportunity to let their imagination run wild. This artistic endeavor resulted in some unique and fascinating creations by the students. 

For students of classes III-IV, carol singing was organized. This was an excellent activity not only to kindle the Christmas spirit but also to help students improve their fluency in the English language. 

Other activities open to classes Nursery-VI included DIY Art & Craft Decorations and Non-Fire Cooking- Cup Cake Decoration. Our young chefs put on quite a show. Topped with fluffy frosting and colorful sprinkles, these dazzling cupcakes were pretty to look at and a treat for the taste buds! The budding artists were no less, with their innovative Christmas tree and wall decor, crafted from new and recycled materials. 


 

The school teachers also organized a special Christmas assembly for grades I-VI wherein students were allowed to showcase their extraordinary creations and talents. The faculty members also spoke about the significance of the festival and encouraged students to celebrate it with their families, while maintaining necessary precautions.
