CBSE eases exam norms for the children of jawans killed in Pulwama attack

As per the recent notification released by the CBSE board, the officials have decided to
extend exemptions for the wards of martyred Armed and Paramilitary forces. These
exemptions were provided after the Pulwama attack in 2019. CBSE board will extend
the relaxations in the year 2020. The wards of martyred soldiers face terrorism and
many other difficulties on a daily basis and CBSE board will exempt them as per the
following criteria.
Students who are appearing for Class X and XII, who wish to change their exam centre in
the same city will be permitted to do so.

As per the CBSE notification, if these students have missed any practical exam, it shall be
conducted as per their comfort by their school by April 2, 2020.
If the wards want to appear for the examination of any offered subject later, it will be
taken into consideration.
Students can communicate to their respective school authorities regarding this who will
pass the request to the regional office latest by January 31, 2020. Therefore, necessary
action will be taken up accordingly
In addition to this, CBSE will also give certain relaxation to special students with
benchmark disabilities. This will be considered for students with learning disabilities
They will be allowed to use calculators, scribe/reader, a laptop (without internet) and
given extra time in the examination by showing the appropriate certificates. Only those
students will be allowed to use calculators who are registered under the CWSN
(Children with Special Needs) category.
