The education of Maharashtra, Varsha Gaikwad, recently announced that the board exams for the students of classes 10 and 12 in Maharashtra will not be cancelled. Following that announcement, it has been revealed that the 10th (HSC) and 12th (SSC) boards in Maharashtra will begin on April 23 and 29, respectively.
As per the recently announced schedule, the HSC exams will commence on April 23 and continue till May 21. Similarly, the SSC exams will start on April 29 and end on May 20. A total of more than 30 lakh students are expected to sit for their 10th and 12th boards in Maharashtra.
It has been specified that the exams will be held completely offline as conducting such a large scale exam online is not practically possible. Nothing about maintaining social distancing during the exams having been divulged yet, but rumours are stating that the exams might be conducted in two shifts.
