Global Day of Parents 2021: Parenting is a selfless love

The United Nations General Assembly stated the first-ever Global Day of Parents in 2012. Ever since, it has been held yearly on June 1 to celebrate parenting and its selfless pledge.
The day aims to kindle awareness of the importance of parenthood and its role in providing protection and the tools needed for positive development in children. 
After all, parents are the first teachers and human interaction that a child is exposed to.

It also holds significance as in its resolve, the General Assembly noted that children, for the full and proper development of their personality, should grow up in a family environment and in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding.

Parents they equip them with the necessary skills in life. They pass on their legacies, protect and make endless sacrifices for their kids.

Furthermore, this day describes the importance of building a healthy relationship based on trust and respect rather than authority or strict guardianship with parents, as it results in a positive impact on a child's social growth and development
