1063 Residential Schools and Hostels to be renamed after Netaji

As per sources, the Indian Education Ministry is all set to take an initiative of renaming all the residential schools and hostels funded under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential Schools. 

Going by the numbers, there are 383 residential schools and 680 hostels, spread across different states and Union Territories, which are currently funded by the Samagra Shiksha Scheme. That makes it a total of 1063 residential facilities that will be renamed after the great man. The sources have also justified that according to some senior members of the Ministry this renaming will be inspirational for the students of these schools and also encourage the teaching and non-teaching staff to push the students to greater heights.

These residential schools under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme follow the regular school curriculum while also giving importance to the all-round development of its students.
