The annual fee for boarding schools in India for classes 7 and 8 ranges from Rs. 2 lakhs to Rs. 21 lakhs or even more, depending on the school's location, facilities, board affiliation, and reputation. Premium schools offering international exposure and modern infrastructure may charge above Rs. 21 lakhs annually.  

The fee includes tuition, hostel accommodation, meals, basic medical care, sports, and extracurricular activities. However, some schools may charge extra for uniforms, books, excursions, competitive coaching for Olympiads or JEE/NEET preparation, and transport.  
 
Yes, many boarding schools in India offer separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Co-ed schools typically ensure gender-specific residential blocks with proper safety and supervision. There are also numerous girls-only and boys-only boarding schools across the country.
