The INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS, is the largest and the most reputed social service organisation in the world, spread over 210 countries having 50000 clubs and almost 1.4 million volunteer members serving humanity for the past 104 years !! LIONS CLUB OF CALCUTTA GREATER, a pioneer club of Kolkata, chartered in 1971, has been rendering selfless services at CHOWHATI, as their adopted KARMBHUMI! In the past half a century they have been instrumental in transforming a non-description sleepy village into a fast developing Mofussil town. LIONS CALCUTTA GREATER VIDYA MANDIR was conceived to provide value based education. It is a co-educational English medium school affiliated to CISCE BOARD, DELHI, and is managed by LIONS CALCUTTA GREATER EDUCATION TRUST, a registered non-profit making society. A philanthropic venture driven by non-profit motive, with service as its sole mission. Away from the hustle and bustle of the mainstream city life, it provides a congenial environment for learning with a mystic aura of a natural countryside setting in complete tranquility.
