Sharing the light of knowledge to dispel the darkness of ignorance; dispatching pupils adept to meet the world, upholding values that are based on moral and spiritual stance. The patron of our institution is St. George. Feast of St. George is on 23rd April. Saint George (c. 275/281 – 23 April 303) was, according to tradition, a Roman soldier from Syria Palaestina in the Guard of Diocletian, who is venerated as a Christian martyr. He was one among the Emperor Diocletian's favorite soldiers. The emperor being a pagan was enemy to the Christians. St. George was against the cruel persecution and he fearlessly opposed the Emperor. Then he gave up his position in the Roman army. He was tortured cruelly and was finally beheaded. He was so bold in declaring his Faith. The picture of St. George with a dragon reminds us of his courage and his determination. He inspires all of us to fight against the dragons such as our pride, selfishness etc., which are hindrance for the formation of a just society, a just nation.
