About

The Cambridge School was founded on April 7, 1931 in a small apartment on Kutub Road, Delhi. It quickly moved to 21 daryaganj, and as it grew, it moved to 2 daryaganj. In the 1940s, it became one of the leading schools in the city. In 1950, a boarding school named Shishu Niketan was established in Mussoorie and later moved to Dehra Dun under the name of Raja Rammohan Roy Academy. The Delhi Cambridge School-so named because it was the first school to send students to take the advanced Cambridge exam-has its own campus in Srinivaspri. The cornerstone of this building was designed by the famous architect Cyrus Jhabvala, and the foundation stone was laid in 1961 by the Vice President of India, Dr. Anderson. Laid by S. Radhakrishnan; the building was unveiled by Smt. In 1963, Indira Gandhi was then Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
