D.BASHKARAN, Ex-Deputy Mayor in the year 1978 in the name of Dr. Ambedkar, the champion of the downtrodden, to impart higher education particularly to the downtrodden and weaker sections of the Society. The College has developed a lot in various fields, since its inception. Within a span of 30 years, over twenty thousand students have already availed the benefit of getting education from this institution. The college at present offers Pre-University and Degree Courses. Dr. Ambedkar Evening College was started in the year 1979 to enable the working class students to pursue their higher studies. The Management ventured into Management Studies from the academic year 1993-94 as Department of Management Studies with a vision to provide quality professional education for aspiring young boys and girls.
