The relationship between school and community has been emphasized in modern education. Most of the schools have been functioning so far in utter isolation from the community. The students are imparted bookish knowledge, without stressing its application in life. Their factual knowledge helps them only to pass the exams. They feel that the school and community are two different spheres having no relationships with each other. The students who are products of such schools are generally misfits in society. I am proud to say that ours is not one among them. We are trying our maximum to fulfill the needs of the community and to meet its expectations. The experiences provided to the children make them aware about various facts and forces working in the community and to inculcate desirable social ideals. The occasional field trips and excursions are for educational purpose so that it may provide knowledge about their cultural heritage and wide social environment. We see that there is a need for strengthening the relationship between the school and the community, the co-operative movement of both can mould better citizens. Keeping the diffusive aspect of culture, I would like to say that this transfer is possible only through a sense of commitment and dedication, the very base of co-operation There were times when we thought “These incidents could have been avoided if the person was educated”. Now here ‘these incidents' can vary from a small scale theft to a destructive bomb blast. All are not lucky enough to enjoy the fruits of education and regarding this matter there is no hope for an argument. But the revelations made by the crime department that the number of ‘educated criminals' are increasing, give us a chance to have a rethink about the flaws of education system; if any. India, being a culturally and religiously segregated country, reflect a kaleidoscopic view if looked through the eyes of an outsider. The credit of merging this differently painted society into a single canvass goes to teachers. In the classroom all are nothing but students. The cultural and religious barricades never enter a classroom. The belief can be shadowed by the above mentioned incidents. The big question is about the erosion of values from the minds of these so called educated criminals who were normal and ambitious citizens till they step out of the schools. The very same fact points finger at the basics of education to impart which we failed somewhere, a mistake which happened unknowingly, when the meaning of education shrunk to the words in text books. Portions related to the syllabus occupies the first seat and in the process of making children ready for the battle field (examination) where they fight with their ever time enemies (letters), values essential for the day to day life are receiving a stepmother treatment. The ambitious parents leave no option untouched to make sure that their children touch the sky. In the world of 'have and have not', struggle for a better living is alarmingly rising and no doubt there is little room for basic values with 'compassion' being the first one to be sacrificed. The role of teachers is never looked upon lightly by the society. Attributed with supernatural powers to make magical changes in a society, the building blocks of which are individuals, the responsibility lying on the shoulders of a teacher is too heavy to carry out without the assistance of dedication. So, the option is open; either don't do injustice to the nation by taking the profession as an exam oriented teaching process or do make a change at the expense of time by extending a helping hand to the children inside whom a rebellious attitude against the ‘torturing social norms' is budding. The present strength of the school has grown up to 2000. Classes are held in the Nursery, Primary and High School division. The all round development of the child is our goal i.e., Intellectual, emotional, social, physical and moral development. All activities are planned with these underlying ideas to develop the complete personality of a child. Portion Papers, practice sheets and worksheets are distributed to all pupils periodically in the Nursery, Primary and High School division specially based on sound principles of the educational psychology. These planned exercises help to motivate, drill and re-in force the concepts of early learning in the minds of the young children. The Management and staff extend a warm welcome to you and your child. You have now become a part of our institution and we assure you that your child will get the maximum benefit from schooling he/ she receives from the well planned curricular and co-curricular activities to draw out the potentiality in each child.
