D.S. High School

Our journey began on 12 th June 1939. Initially, we were recognized as ‘The Sion English School’. Since then we have remained a beacon of light to all those who seek quality education. An education that follows closely upon the motto ‘शील घडविते तेच खरे शिक्षण’ [Character building through education] as envisioned by our founding fathers Late Babasaheb Deshpande and Late M. D. Kulkarni. Over the last 80 years, we are working selflessly for the betterment of society. The school has earned the “प्रगत आणि उत्कृष्ट” [Advanced & Excellent] award from the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra and is the only Marathi Medium School in the state to boast of an ISO 9001-2008 Certification. We get over 400 new admissions yearly and are the largest Marathi Medium School in Maharashtra with over 3500 students. And it has only been achieved through the hard work and determination of our management, staff and teachers. Once a student takes admission in our school, we accept the responsibility of his/her education, right until 10 th Std. Consequently, D. S. High School continues doing exemplary work among the underprivileged and lower class localities.
