Interesting activities to do with your kids this Holi

As the festival of colours is just around the colour, let us look at some activities you can do with your child.

Throw a party: Invite your child’s friends over and arrange a small party for them. Include Holi related activities such as spray painting and finger painting to keep them happy and busy. You can make it a theme party so that everybody is in bright colours.

Join social groups: There are countless social groups that organise special Holi activities for children. The activities include singing, dancing, body painting, and watching movies. You can enrol your child in any such activities.

Use coloured confetti: If you’re worried about the harmful chemicals in paints and want your child to stay safe but also enjoy Holi, you can get them coloured confetti. They can enjoy with friends and they can dump the harmless confetti on each other without hurting anyone.

Paint Rangoli’s: Arrange a small-scale Rangoli or painting competition. Your child and his/her friends can participate, you can ask them to make a colourful painting and ensure that you reward every child as it will boost her/his confidence.

Bake: You can also celebrate in the comfort of your kitchen this Holi by organising a baking session. Engage your child in cooking colourful food for his/her friends. You can make beautiful cupcakes, pancakes or any other thing that grabs the attention of your child.

Arts/Crafts: You can also have a fun arts and crafts session with your child by using paint and creating simple holiday cards, paper dolls, pichkari and lots more and lots more.

Get messy: Get in the groove and revel in the spirit of the festival. Play pranks with your children. Surprise them with your fun side and catch them off guard painting them in odd colours or drenching them in a bucket of water. After all, Bura na maano! Holi Hai!
