The NEP seizing the interest of other countries, says Education Minister

At a webinar on ‘NEP 2020 - The Brighter Future of Education’, organised by ASSOCHAM, Pokhriyal said, "Around 10 countries have contacted us, with their education ministers showcasing the willingness to implement India's new education policy in their countries." 

The new policy is planning to transform the education system by introducing changes such as free education for all till the age of 18, replacing the 10 + 2 structure with 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 structure in schools, promoting the regional languages as the primary medium of education, etc. Over 15 lakh suggestions have been received by the government for implementing NEP 2020.

The government has integrated most of the 2.25 lakh responses received from all over India for the NEP. The New Education Policy of India, passed by the cabinet at the end of June, ushers a change in the policy after 34 years.
