The district-level education monitoring committee was directed by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar during a meeting today. This meeting was held for monitoring the safety steps and protocols at the time of reopening.

After a long break, the schools in Telangana are going to reopen for classes 6 to 8 on February 24 following the instructions given by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao. The district-level education monitoring committee was directed by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar during a meeting today. This meeting was held for monitoring the safety steps and protocols at the time of reopening.

 The students are required to wear masks, carry their own hand sanitizers, without these recommended things the student will not be allowed to enter the school premises. The permission of parents is mandatory for attending the classes. According to the government, around 17.24 lakh students are likely to attend the school.

On February 1, the schools for classes 9 were reopened in Telangana. The functional timings of the schools were decided as:
- From 9.30 am to 4.45 pm in the districts.
- From 8.45 am to 4 pm in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
