The Delhi High Court dismisses the plea to conduct JEE advanced again for left out candidates. These candidates were not able to attempt the entrance test due to their COVID-19 positive status.
The petition was filed by the IIT aspirant who had obtained a rank in the top 96187 general candidates in the JEE Mains examination in September this year but could not sit for JEE advanced examination on September 27 as his COVID-19 reports were positive on September 22.
The aspirant pleaded for a separate arrangement in the form of isolation centers for candidates who tested positive for COVID-19 as done for CLAT 2020. The board said that there were numerous hurdles in conducting the exam. However, in the meeting has been decided that all those candidates who had successfully registered for JEE advanced 2020 but were absent in the exam, can appear in JEE advanced 2021 as a one time measure.
