Many important topics were discussed in the NVS executive meeting that was held a few days back. The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal mentioned that one of the important decisions taken during this meeting is to provide free textbooks for students of classes 6-12 in Delhi.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) meeting was aimed at discussing how the provisions at the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti could be made better. The meeting spanned different topics like giving away free textbooks for classes 6-12, providing tablets to students of class 9 and above and ways to improve CSR funds that could, in turn, improve hostels and schools. The decision to improve the infrastructure of the schools was also taken in the meeting.

The Minister of State for Education, Sanjay Dhotre, was also present at the NVS executive meeting.
