As per the revised academic calendar, approved by University Grants Commission (UGC), the classes for first-year students will start from November 1, and no new admissions will be permitted after November 30.

According to the alternative academic calendar for higher education institutions, released on April 29, the final year exam was to be conducted from July 1 to July 15 and declare the results till the end of the month. On September 21, first-year classes were to begin.

However, the latest revision says that all institutions must conduct the final-year exam by the end of September. Considering the delay for the entrance exam due to COVID-19, the first day of the new academic session is supposed to be from September 1 to November 1.
