DPS RK Puram Wins Real Time Design Challenge 2020

A team from Delhi Public School RK Puram wins the Real time Design Challenge 2020 which is a competition that provides students from standard 9-12 an opportunity to work on real world engineering challenges. A team called ‘Samaritan Aerospace’ beats many other teams from countries like US, UK and china, to win the contest.

The challenge was to ‘design an unmanned aerial system for package delivery. The members of the team are  Zohaib Ehtesham Aditya Swaminathan (team leader), Karan Handa, Advitya Singhal, Siddhansh Narang, Ashvin Verma and Om Gupta. Ajay Goel, a physics teacher at DPS RK Puram, is the coach of the team.

Each of the team members are provided a prize of $50000 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, only to study in that university which is one of the elite universities for Aeronautical engineering.

There were 2 rounds and the teams qualifying for the second round were supposed to visit Washington DC but due to the coronavirus outbreak the final round was held through an online webinar.
