The Central Board of Secondary Education is set to organize a training program for school principals and teachers on ‘Alternative Academic Calendar’.
NCERT released an alternative academic calendar in April 2020 and then a revised one on July 7. The revised academic calendar was released after the rationalization of the syllabus up to 30%. In the revised calendar, the board removed topics from nearly 190 subjects of class 9 to 12 as a one-time measure only. This was to ensure the reduction of examination stress among the students due to the loss of academic time in the wake of the pandemic.
