The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that the students of class 10 and 12 shall appear for the pending exams at their respective schools in which they are enrolled, instead of external exam centre.

Previously, the HRD Ministry announced that the examination will start from July 1.

It has been also declared that the results will roll out till the end of July and evaluation process has already begun for exams which were conducted before the lockdown was implemented.

“Students will appear for the exams in their own schools and not external test centres to ensure minimum travel for them. Schools will be responsible for ensuring social distancing norms are followed and students will be required to carry their own sanitizer bottles and cover their face with mask,” a board official said.

Usually, board exams are held at external centres to ensure minimum bias from schools for their students and independent invigilation.

While the 12 board exams will be conducted across the country, 10th board exams will be conducted only for the students of East-Delhi where it could not be conducted earlier before because of the law and order situation in the wake of protest of Citizenship Amendment Bill.

The information was also shared by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ in a live interaction with students aired on DD News on Tuesday night.
