The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) just issued a circular asking the schools to commence the next academic session from April. The circular issued today specifically mentioned April 1 as the first day of the academic session 2021-22.

The Central Board has also asked the schools to conduct the class 9th and 11th boards soon enough to recommence with the next school year. They have also mentioned that all necessary precautions are to be maintained while holding of these exams. “This exam will also help in identifying learning gaps which could be addressed by the schools in the new academic session, at the beginning of classes, by having a bridge course specially designed to address learning gaps,” mentioned the circular.

The board has also advised teachers to give importance to the individual progress of students given the long break that they had all experienced. It has also been mentioned that each of the school has to follow all necessary safety precautions while reopening the schools.
