The Gujarat education department has decided to reopen all schools, colleges, and other educational institutes in the state from Feb 21.
Earlier students had an option to attend classes either in offline or online mode.
Citing a sharp decrease in the number of Covid cases in the state, the Gujarat government has decided to completely do away with the hybrid model where students could opt for both offline and online classes. Starting Feb 21, schools will reopen for only offline classes and online classes will no longer take place.
The decision to discontinue the online system of education from February 21 was taken by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday after reviewing the coronavirus situation during a core committee meeting.
The schools will follow proper Covid related guidelines and SOPs issued by the government earlier.
